We believe our Vit C serum is truly unique and in a category of its own. It is the only (as far as we know) Vit C serum to be preservative free while also using the purest form of Vit C - L Ascorbic Acid. It’s also chock full of other great stuff your skin will love like Hyaluronic Acid, Vit B and Green Tea leaf extract!

Most skincare experts agree that 20% is the maximum amount your skin can take. We found our preservative free formula has the best synergistic benefits with the other ingredients at 15% of the pure L-Ascorbic Acid that we use. We lab tested three top brands of serum that had claims of 20% Vit C. Two of them had less than 5% at testing four weeks after we had purchased them. Sussa Vit C serum still had 14.97%L-Ascorbic Acid after almost one year! We think that is a gamechanger.

Unlike many serums on the market today, our Vit C serum contains no chemical preservatives! So just like your favorite fresh foods, it needs to be refrigerated to ensure all the crazy good benefits of this powerful antioxidant serum are at their full potency for your skin.

We are dedicated to clean, effective, and safe skincare formulations. Sometimes preservatives are unavoidable-they are needed to keep the product effective, safe from contaminants, and lasting longer than a few days! The preservative contained in our moisturizer(potassium sorbate) is a highly-researched, widely used food grade preservative that has been deemed safe for consumption by the FDA.

Leaving the serum out overnight in your house (not outside in the summer!) will affect its expiration date, not the quality. So try to always keep it in the fridge.The more heat exposure it gets, the shorter its expiration date will be.

Our formula is viscous, which means just 2-3 drops will go a long way. Apply to your freshly washed face, then follow with a light, clean moisturizer. Some people like to use their serums at night and some in the morning, it’s up to you. When you’re not using it, store it in the fridge. That’s it! Easy. Also, as with many skincare products we strongly recommend applying for at least thirty days to see the best results.

You do not, but it is HIGHLY recommended. Our Vit C serum is not a moisturizer even though it will make your skin feel softer. Its purpose is to deliver a potent combination of ingredients to your skin. Our moisturizer was formulated to be light and hydrating to work on top of the Vit C serum and lock in the serum’s benefits.

Orders are packed and shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We ship orders that contain the serum in insulated boxes with ice packs that should keep it cool for up to two days. We know a lot of shipping companies have been experiencing delays, but if your product is not cold when you receive it, immediately put it in the refrigerator before breaking the seal and opening the bottle and let it cool down to normal refrigerator temps-approximately 40F-42F before using.

Completely biodegradable it can even be dissolved and washed down the sink. We will continually strive to optimize our packaging in the best interests of our planet.
